Crispy-skinned grilled duck breasts glazed in a rich cherry-balsamic reduction — a luxurious BBQ twist perfect for special occasions.
Ingredients:
- 2 duck breasts (skin-on)
- Salt & pepper
For the glaze:
- ½ cup cherry preserves
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- ½ tsp fresh thyme (optional)
Instructions:
- Score duck skin in a criss-cross pattern. Season with salt & pepper.
- Place skin-side down on a cold grill pan or BBQ over medium heat. Cook 6–8 min until skin is crisp.
- Flip and cook 4–5 min or until medium-rare inside.
- Meanwhile, combine glaze ingredients in a pan and simmer until thick.
- Brush glaze over the duck and grill 1–2 min more.
- Rest 5 minutes, then slice and serve with extra glaze.
