BBQ Grilled Whole Sea Bass with Garlic & Herbs

This grilled whole sea bass is juicy, flaky, and infused with lemon, garlic, and herbs. Cooking it whole on the BBQ keeps the fish moist and delivers bold chargrilled flavor — perfect for summer evenings.

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole sea bass (cleaned, scaled, ~500–600g)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves (sliced)
  • 3–4 lemon slices
  • Fresh herbs (like parsley, dill, or thyme)
  • Salt & pepper
  • Optional: extra lemon wedges for serving

Instructions:

  1. Pat fish dry and score the skin lightly on both sides.
  2. Rub the outside with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Stuff the cavity with garlic slices, lemon slices, and herbs.
  4. Preheat grill to medium-high. Oil the grates.
  5. Grill fish for 6–7 minutes per side, until skin is crisp and flesh flakes easily.
  6. Serve whole with a squeeze of lemon.
