Tender grilled octopus brushed with zesty lemon-herb oil — a Mediterranean BBQ delight that’s smoky, savory, and unexpectedly delicious.
Ingredients:
- 1 whole octopus (1–1.5kg, cleaned)
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 lemon (halved)
- Salt
For the marinade:
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 tsp oregano
- Salt & pepper
Instructions:
- Simmer octopus with bay leaves, lemon halves, and salt for ~45–50 min until tender.
- Let cool slightly, then cut into large tentacle pieces.
- Mix marinade ingredients in a bowl.
- Brush octopus with marinade and grill over high heat until lightly charred (3–4 min per side).
- Drizzle with extra marinade and serve with grilled lemon slices.
