Ingredients:
- 300g pasta (penne or fusilli)
- 2 chicken thighs or breasts, diced
- 200g mushrooms, sliced
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1½ cups milk
- ½ cup cream (optional)
- 1 cup grated cheese (cheddar or tasty)
- Salt, pepper, dried thyme
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Cook pasta until just al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a pan, cook onion and garlic in butter. Add chicken and cook until browned. Add mushrooms and thyme, cook until tender.
- Stir in flour, cook 1 min. Gradually add milk and cream. Stir until thickened.
- Combine sauce with pasta, season to taste. Transfer to baking dish.
